Online Nursing Degrees
Online nursing degrees are growing in popularity as more people rush to enter the lucrative, highly required in the field of nursing.
Online degrees offer some wonderful benefits. You can take classes at any time of day is convenient for you. You can work full time and still earn a salary while getting your degree. You can bring your own laptop and study and submit assignments at home while you are on the bus or subway, on the beach or at the coffee-shop. There is no need to spend time and gasoline driving to a college campus, looking for parking, walk half a mile to his house, walking back …. However, in line nursing degrees have their limits.
First of all, there is now a single line of program in the country - I know the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, which allows a person without health care certificate or degree to obtain their nursing degree. They take a limited number of students who need to have a previous degree, it is necessary to have completed a number of science and other requirements, and to grant an accelerated second degree. Most of the program is online, but must go to the campus of Oshkosh several times, and not every state offers the clinicals, which are necessary for the program.
What is far more common are programs that allow a LPN or a paramedic to take a “bridge” program that allows complete their LPN associate degree and become a registered nurse. An example of this is Chamberlain College of Nursing. Excelsior College and many others offer these opportunities as well.
It is also possible, after obtaining the associate degree in nursing, taking online classes to obtain a bachelor’s of science in nursing. Often, this will result in a higher salary, and also, if you want to progress in managerial positions, is generally need at least a BSN.
There are online degree nursing programs that grant master’s degrees and nursing. In addition, you can take many of its premises online English, psychology, food, etc. It is necessary that the first of those has been accepted into an LPN to RN bridge program.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Not every state accepts online nursing programs. For example, Florida does not recognize Excelsiors paramedics to lpn program, so that if one program, you may not be able to sit for the NCLEX-RN program in Florida. You must check with your state board of nursing before enrolling in line with the program, because you do not want to spend all that time and money and discover that they are not eligible to sit for the NCLEX, which is proof that you must overcome in order to be licensed as a nurse.
